This post will be a little different than my normal ones, but I’m trying to branch out as far as creativity and what I imagine for this blog.
I’ve always been a fashion girly but recently within the past few years I’ve really been stepping into finding and curating my style better. Pulling inspiration from some of my favorite shows and movies growing up, like the Cheetah Girls, Bratz, and even Gilmore Girls.
With the spring season just poking it’s head in and out here in Michigan I decided to curate some spring fits that can be warm enough but also give that peek into the spring season. The idea to do this kind of post came from a friend of mine saying I should pursue style/fashion TikToks and me looking over at my closet and seeing all the good potential and material.
Doing TikToks is one thing but I wanted to get my blog involved somehow because truth be told, while some may think keeping a blog is vintage and outdated, I LOVE it. It’s so 2000’s and in a time when technology is, in my opinion, going too far, I think it’s good to hold on to the relic styles that helped build technology to what it is today.
So with all that being said, I have three outfit ideas to help you get sprung into spring!
First outfit is for the office sirens and working divas (though I am currently not *hides behind hands*). When I was working, work fits were some of my favorite looks to put together. Because when you think about it, we spend 40 hours a week at work, and why not be dressed cute if you’re forced to work that much.

The fit is giving very elegant, very professional, very office princess, very at her-desk-typing-but-it’s-just-ksjdcjdnnkdncjnjvnfk. The white sweater brings in color as a nice contrast against the black and the leather jacket offers a cute night option for cocktails after work with coworkers or dinner vibes.
I went with pearls because I feel like they match well with the white and tie in the elegance and professionalism of the outfit all together. And the black and gold platform loafers bring in the bag, jacket, skirt and jewelry perfectly, imo.
Coach bag of course, because it’s an affordable nice designer bag brand, especially after the rebrand that Coach has been going through over the past few years. They have truly become one of my favorite brands.
Also, this entire fit is thrifted excluding the bag and shoes. I advise everyone to hit your local Value World or Salvation Army. As much as I like buying new, buying thrifted is most of the time even better, and I feel I find pieces that at a store would be double or triple the price
The second outfit is for going out during the day, running errands, going to cute little museums, having coffee, or going on lunch/brunch dates with the girls or a special someone. It’s lowkey, and has the vibes of the early 2000s especially with the brown jean jacket and striped sweater. It’s like Lorelai Gilmore core, but slightly elevated with the necklaces and leopard bag, which adds a fun pop to the brown and other earthy mutable colors.

The bag was actually thrifted at my local Salvation Army and when I saw it I immediately thought, “you’re coming home with me,” and that she did. I went with some brown booted heels because I love a bit of elevation as I am only 5’4, and the brown brings it back to the bag and jacket, which I really wanted to be the main takeaway in the look.
The jewelry has hints of purple in the necklaces and rings, while also bringing in gold because I’m just a gold girly, but I personally also think this outfit would be great with silver jewelry as well.
The final fit is a going out one because I do enjoy hitting the town with my girls for a good ole drink and dance. I wanted the jacket to be the main piece, but then the cute baby tee adds a splash of color with the red lettering. I feel as though you could opt for a cute red bag like a burgundy or black bag to tie the jacket and boots back in.

I went a bit all out with the jewelry but had to have the matching red heart necklace and the heart and bow earrings. I feel like it all came together as an edgy coquette look especially with the jacket and teddy bear on the tee.
The red bag is also cute with the detailing of the stitching on the Tommy jeans! I think if one thought the jacket was too busy, it could even be substituted with a black or burgundy leather jacket.
The jacket and black bag were thrifted. Red bag is from TikTok shop. The top is from Ross, and I got the Tommy Jeans from a clothing swap in Hamtramck! Shoutout to my friends for taking me to my first clothing swap, it was so fun and essentially the same as thrifting, just free, so even better. The pieces I got are some that I cannot wait to wear, especially once the weather gets nicer.
I hope you enjoyed this fashion blog post, it’s my first one and I’m excited to play with more clothing options and continue making these as it was really fun to do. As always, you can follow my TikTok @razdazray for more content or my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rt.nels/
